New Models

For this year, I will be working on bring some new models to the already full line-up. Some will be entirely new concepts, and some will be existing models that have been entirely re-worked. Combining templates and thus creating new ones. Besides new models, I will be working on bringing new materials and composites to my board line. All my designs are a work in progress. The line will be evolving and being refined. My quest for the ultimate surfing design continues. Stay tuned, it's only getting better and more exciting!

Anthias Fish

Picture
This is the Anthias Fish. re-worked spin on the classic Fish design. The outline looks familiar, but that's where the old Fish design stops. Re-designed with modern contours, rails, and foil.

This board works well with my handmade modern Keels, and as a modern Quad design.

Board comes in two versions. Retro with beak nose, flatter rocker, and a semi-flat deck.  More volume and faster planing.
The Modern version has more rocker, thinner foiled tail, and less volume in the nose.

Lagoona Twin-fin

Picture

All the rage in the late 70's into the early 80's, the Twin-fin was the choice
for the advanced surfer. MR won four consecutive world titles
on a similar design.

The twin fin surfboard offers increased speed
and maneuverability while also being more
stable than a single fin. This board design also
produces a looser board than a thruster.

Twin fins offer a maneuverable and fast ride
to surfers. Their quickness and ability to make
sharp turns makes them a great choice for
small conditions, but they can also be used in
medium sized clean surf.

Revamped for modern surfing, this board has modern,
relaxed rocker, concave bottom, and a nice, over-all
foil.
The fins have been moved back compared to the original designs.

This board also features a purposely placed wing to make this baby
turn on a dime.

Lots of volume in the nose for floatation making it quicker
for faster take off’s. Having a flatter bottom for increased speed
and have and greater maneuverability than a short board.
Ideal for surf around 1 to 3 foot surf.

Comes standard with glass-on Twin-fins. But can be ordered
with a removable fin system as well.

Irish Spring Bar of soap.

Picture
I have been saving this one. Since the whole Soap Bar thing has come into style, I thought I would break out the real deal. This template is an original George Greenough. Based upon his original "Velo" kneeboard outline, yet made to be stood on. A full 22" wide and 18" at both ends. Flattened deck with a semi-angular down rail. Designed to be ridden with a twin keel fin set-up.

Picture
Very flat rocker and a lot of volume. Glass-on Keel fins for tons of down the line speed. Also available with Future Fins system.

The "HK" Hex Key

The "HK" or the Hex Key. Based off the original Hitchcock template, narrowed all the way around.
5'6" x 17.0" x 20.5" x 17.5" 2.37" Blank made by myself and Hand-shaped.
The Hitchcock is a small wave beast. Works great on mushy slopey waves, yet has trouble with steeper waves with the wider nose. So I increased the rocker in both the nose and tail, and foiled the nose and tail thinner. Taking some design cues from other more parallel boards but not as drastically straight, I kept it a little curvier.
Curvy means turney.
Keeping with the geometric theme, I left the bottom lower rail beveled (Ben Aipa influence) and left nose and tail kinda beveled as well. The board also has some rail channels to stiffen rail. (Love Handles).

Besides the obvious outline change, this board will feature my "Torsion Drive" Stringer system. Based on Torsional flex, the split stringer ends directly under the riders rear foot. This enables it to flex from rail to rail. Not only does this produce forward drive, it also allows the stringerless last bit of the tail to flex during turns.

The bottom contours are similar to the Hitchcock. shallow centre concave to double with a fair amount of Vee to allow the wider tail to go on rail. (turning). Board also has a Bi-plane to Tri-plane hull design added in there as well. Pretty complex bottom.
This featured board is a Poly blank, yet will be glassed with Epoxy. Not to sure about fin set-up yet. I really want to make it a Tri-fin design and minimize fin boxes to allow tail to fully flex. We'll see. Board will be available in many different options.

The MC AKA MacArthur
Available 5' 4" to 6' 10"

5'8"

19.25"

2.25"

This board is a cross between  my SB Cash model and SB Varney. Slightly narrower than the Cash. Added rocker at both ends. Tail is also foiled thinner, and rails are more "square". This board is the staple semi Hi-performance surfboard. Good "all-arounder". It fits very well between the "Cash" and the Hi-performance "Varney".

Single concave to double between fins.
Wide point at centre.

The "R-2"

Picture

The "R-2"
5'6"- 6'2"  Average width is 21.0"
This board is a modified version of my "Roosevelt" model. A curvy fish shape with Double Wings and a standard Swallow Tail with lots of curve. So I narrowed it up some, lost the wings, and put a semi-circular Diamond Tail.
By adding some length,(average 2") it gave it a more performance look and feel. I increased the rocker and foiled the whole tail area thinner. Think of this board as a cross between a fish, and a performance shortboard. This model will work great with any fin set-up. 3, 4, or 5 fins.
Relaxed entry rocker with a shallow concave to slight Vee off tail.

Threw in four belly-channels for authenticity.
Looks great with an an authentic 80's spray.
Glass-on fins of course.
Grow out your mullet and throw on some Zinka nose block!

Shambala.

A mid-length all around fun mid sized board. Semi-retro single-fin outline, yet many modern features and contours. lower entry rocker gets you in early, yet the the thin tail makes it very maneuverable.
